Training 3 · Upcoming Five-Day Intensive

Bridging Social Work & Applied Behavior Analysis

An interdisciplinary continuing-education experience that brings behavioral science into conversation with social work values, culture, context, and human dignity.

Intensive overview

A shared language for evidence, context, and collaboration.

Professionals increasingly work across systems where behavioral terminology, data, assessments, and intervention plans affect service delivery. Yet those tools can lose meaning when culture, trauma, relationships, communication, resources, and larger systems are not considered.

This five-day program brings applied behavior analysis together with the Person-in-Environment perspective and the values of dignity, collaboration, cultural responsiveness, neurodiversity-informed practice, and client voice. Participants do not need to be social workers or behavior analysts; the goal is to strengthen interdisciplinary understanding while helping each professional apply the material within their own role and scope.

The learning experience includes

  • Foundations of behavioral observation, measurement, and interpretation
  • Person-in-Environment thinking and contextual assessment
  • Culture, ethics, power, trauma, neurodiversity, and professional assumptions
  • Collaborative planning with individuals, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Applied reflection, case-based learning, and practical tools for workplace use
Applied learning cycle: Observe carefully. Measure what matters. Co-design support. Adapt responsively.
